Doom Rocket Launcher Mod



The rocket launcher, also known as the Paingiver, returns as a weapon in Doom Eternal. It features an all-new appearance with a transparent barrel and a skull motif on its side. 'Deals massive explosive damage, be careful! Great for a group or a single, slow moving target.' Once the game is running, click 'Load Mods' and make sure the status changes to 'Injected' or enable 'Auto Load Mods' under Settings. To open the in game menu, press the ' or 'Home' key on your keyboard while in rocket league. If the menu doesn't open make sure you don't have any launch options enabled in steam. Such as -nomovie (-log works fine). 'Show Command Line' from the Rocket Menu will crash if your command line is blank. This is a known issue with Turok, Turok 2, and Doom 64 EX. This will be fixed soon, and does NOT prevent normal operation such as adding mods, sorting them, and playing games. . Mod permission granted The scripts are no mod, but errythang else is!. Special Effects Particle effects when rocket is fired. 'Expanding Sphere' prim explosion, as well as more particles. Customizable logo On the sides of the Doom Rocket Launcher there is, at default, a small image of the rocket projectile.

Description

Doom Launcher by hobomaster22 is a Doom Frontend that doesn't only serve as a startup-utility but as a whole database for all your original doom-engine games and all your custom wads, pk3s and projects for Doom and similar games. It can be compared to D-Fend Reloaded (a DOSBOX database frontend) and has similar awesome features to sort, organize and keep track of your collection. Rocket Launcher - Basic Stats

Ammo Type- Rocket
Effective Range- Mid Range
Strong Against - While good against everything, don't waste it on lone stragglers. Beware of Hell Knights that can close in fast and Carcass' Shield that pops in your face

High-Yield Area Blast Weapon

The Rocket Launcher fires a high yield rocket which explodes in an area blast when hitting any surface. Its Rocket flight speed is pretty slow so lead your shots accordingly. Targets too far away might dodge the rockets.

Damages Self If Too Close

Unlike other weapons, a rocket explosion will damage the user if detonated too close. Despite its high burst damage, don't pop out the Rocket Launcher when the enemy is in your face, or it might make matters worse.

Effective Vs Swarms Or Tough Enemies

Great for damaging a group of enemies or chipping away at larger, tougher enemies such as the Mancubus. When firing into swarms, try to get the high ground and shoot the floors of the targets for ma blast radius.

Pick Your Targets

Although Rocket Launcher is good against most targets, there are enemies that can counter it like the Carcass, and will be an overkill for fodders unless they're grouped together.

Remote Detonate - Rocket Launcher Mod

Manually Detonate Rockets

Remote Detonate will let Rocket Launcher's rockets to be remotely detonated before striking a surface. It is useful for targeting hard to reach enemy weakness such as Pinky's back,or for fast targets that often dodges the rockets. Detonating can be difficult to do when being swarmed.

Can Be Used For Peek-A-Boo Attacks

One tactic you can use is to come out, fire a rocket, run behind cover, and then detonate before the targets can retaliate. This is effective particularly in corridor fights where the targets can't move around.

Available Upgrades: Remote Detonate Mod

Prioritize Concussive Blasts upgrade as it can interrupt demons in a wide area for crowd control. Then pick up Proximity Flare so you can start the mastery challenge.

Explosive Array - Remote Detonate Mastery

If a rocket is detonated while the Proximity Flare is active, additional explosives (3 in total) will activate to create a larger area of effect.

Kill 60 enemies while Proximity Flare is active.

Bypass Challenge With Mastery Tokens

By spending a Mastery Token, you can immediately bypass the mastery challenge. For Remote Detonate, it may be worth it to use a Token to unlock as timing 60 kills can take quite some time.

Lock-On Burst - Rocket Launcher Mod

3 Homing Missiles After Lock-On

After a Lock-on, 3 missiles will be fired that automatically tracks the target until hit. Useful for dispatching Whiplash, Cacodemon & Pain Elemental that runs around a lot but drains ammo fast.

Available Upgrades: Lock-On Burst Mod

Prioritize Fast Reset upgrade as it cuts Lock-on speed by 50%, letting you become more mobile by not having to lock-on so long. Fast Rest, and even the mastery is optional due to how fast the ammo drain will be.

A second lock-on target can be acquired before firing rocket bursts.

Bypass Challenge With Mastery Tokens

By spending a Mastery Token, you can immediately bypass the mastery challenge. For Dual Lock, it is completely optional as the priority for this mastery is not too high.
