I'm using the system described in my 'specs' icon and a CHIMEI CMV 221D-NBC 22' LCD monitor with a DVI cable. The first time I installed the ATI driver everything worked fine. After a few system restarts (specifically one where I changed out an IDE DVD drive for a SATA one) the monitor would lose the input signal after Windows loads it's driver. I have now discovered that this only happens with the DVI cable. The same monitor keeps working if I use a D-sub cable. Any ideas why?
This problem didn't happen when I switched the video card to the PCIe x4 slot, so I thought the mobo was the problem, but a new one leaves me with the same problem. Thanks for any ideas.
